Originally from the UK I left in 1996 and headed for Australia where I spent 10 years until I moved to Singapore 4 years ago. Singapore is now home.
Having been in IT Sales and Sales Management for over 10 years, I am also training to be a Life Coach. I like to balance my professional life with fund raising and humanitarian work, predominantly to help children in South East Asia.
In 2007 I organised Breaking the Wave, a music event held at Hacienda that raised SGD40K for the Phuket tsunami orphanage, Baan Tharn Namchai. The money was used to build an extension to house 20 more kids.
Following Cyclone Nargis in June 2008 I was part of the first Singaporean humanitarian mission with the Buddhist Fellowship where I am an executive committee member. Traveling 12 hours in to the delta region we delivered food, clean water and medical aid direct to victims of the tragedy.
Footsteps for Good is about getting a team of people together in the jungle for a few days and raising some money for those kids that need it. The tough trekking combined with meaningful cause is a recipe for personal growth, team achievement and the forging of life long friendships.
